Welcome to COINS

Central Oklahoma Integrated Network System, Inc.

is a 501(c)(3) Not For Profit Community-Based Organization

Our Mission:
Improve access to care for the uninsured and enhance the health status of the community

Our Vision
All people receive culturally sensitive and appropriately coordinated health and social services

Our Values
Compassionate We are concerned about the suffering of others and actively work toward finding solutions.
Organized We demonstrate our stewardship with an orderly and disciplined work ethic.
Innovative We try new approaches to unravel old dilemmas in an effort to achieve our mission.
Neighborly We enthusiastically support efforts to find answers to the problems faced by our community.
Service Oriented We place great value on service to our members, clients, and coworkers.

COINS serves low income uninsured in Central Oklahoma through its programs and services. Many uninsured served by COINS make less than $10,000.00 a year and work at one or more low wage paying jobs but are not provided affordable health care insurance.

Every day calls for help come into COINS' office. Several times a week people needing help come into the office for special assistance. We arrange for them access to donated or low cost health care services. These people do not have the faces of beautiful little children that tug at your heart strings and make you want to give money or time to support causes that help them live better lives. These are the faces of the children's parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. These are the faces of worried people who need gall bladder surgery, diagnosis and treatment for cancer, help getting their diabetes medicine and care for their heart disease. These are people who work one or more low-wage paying jobs to feed, clothe and put a roof over the heads of their families. These are the faces of people who may one day be helped when all the health insurance debates are over, but for now they are the one in five people in our community who are uninsured and are experiencing rationing of care. These are the people COINS serves.
